Instead of having to go home for their children’s education, missionary parents are able to send their children to RVA, a place where they can be assured of the Christian teaching they receive. Through RVA we now have the opportunity to help numerous families stay in their remote locations, serving to reach unreached people groups in a way they couldn’t do without educational support. Here, we have the privilege of supporting families who, like we did, live in remote or difficult places, often places where there are no good educational options. In summer 2010 they returned to working in the Eastern Region office as Short Term Coordinators, and in 2012 joined a team seeking to reach the unreached on one of the islands in the Indian Ocean. We are excited to serve at RVA because we see the fruit that emerges when students are immersed in a Christ-centered environment and challenged both educationally and spiritually. For many missionary families serving in remote parts of Africa, Rift Valley has provided a way for their children to still receive a quality education without needing to leave their ministry. Rift Valley Academy (RVA) has been providing education to missionary kids in Africa since 1906. We are excited that the Lord is now leading us to Kijabe, Kenya to serve at Rift Valley Academy. During our time in Malawi, the Lord solidified in us a passion and calling to quality Christian education and building strong community through mentoring and discipleship. We lived and served for three years in Malawi, while doubling our family to include our daughter Norah and our son Ezra. Since we were married in 2013, our goal for our family has always been that we would glorify the Lord together.
